About these terms
These terms apply to buildcountusa.com and the addresses that redirect to it, including the pricing steps, the tools, the AI assistant, the forms, and the texts and emails we send about your enquiry. BuildCount is a service of Charcounting CPA, PLLC ("Charcounting", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms.
Information, not advice
Everything on this site, including articles, prices, the over and under billing tool and the assistant's answers, is general information. It is not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice for your situation. The billing tool shows a calculation from the numbers you enter; it is only as accurate as those numbers.
No client relationship until you sign
Using the site, sending the form or booking a free call does not make you our client. A client relationship begins only when you and Charcounting sign a written engagement letter. Free calls are offered at our discretion and are not professional advice.
Prices and quotes
Prices shown on the site are starting prices based on your answers. Your formal fixed-fee quote follows a free call, and the fees in your signed engagement letter are the ones that apply. A one-time onboarding fee is due at signup, and the monthly fee begins the following month. We may change the prices on the site at any time.
The AI assistant
Ask BuildCount is an automated AI assistant. Its answers are general information, can be incomplete or wrong, and are not advice; please check anything important with our team before you rely on it. Do not enter sensitive or confidential information. We may limit or stop access to the assistant to prevent misuse.
Text messages
If you agree to texts on the Get started form, Charcounting CPA, PLLC may text you about your enquiry and appointments. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, which sends one confirmation message, or HELP for help. To opt back in, sign up again the same way. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not sell, rent or share your phone number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing; we share them only with the service providers that deliver our messages. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
Information you give us
Please give accurate information that you are entitled to share. Do not send Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, tax returns or other sensitive documents through the site, by text or by regular email. If you become a client, we will give you a secure way to share them.
Acceptable use
Do not submit false information, interfere with how the site works, try to gain unauthorized access, scrape the site, send automated requests to the assistant or the forms, or use the site for anything unlawful.
Our content
The site's text, design, images and drawings belong to Charcounting or its licensors. You may view and print pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, change, distribute or sell them without our written permission.
Other services
The site uses or links to other providers, such as Cal.com for booking and OpenAI for the assistant. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for them.
No warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise any particular tax result, refund or saving.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site will not exceed $100. Services we provide under an engagement letter are governed by that letter.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Using the site after that means you accept the changes.
